Came to watch a friend play in a metal band but had never heard of the other bands playing. It was odd at the start, the audience was very shy and lined the walls rather than standing centrally. Not only must this have been awkward for the audience but also an intimidating atmosphere for the performing band.

They were all extremely talented. The singers particularly had such a wide range (really high and really low) but all perfectly in tune. I think the guitarist was actually the star. His fingers were easily flowing around the guitar, like a spider and he could sing and screech perfectly.
Their sound was heavy yet classic, it was rejuvenating music like Metallica mixed with Black Sabbath.
They were glowing red and only wearing black clothes. They were enveloped in the lighting and it was bold and striking.

Caulder

Caulder The Lending Rooms 31.05.19 The songs were extremely musically created. T he songs progressed through lots of layer, you were watching the texture build.  They were thoughtfully composed with build ups and drops. The tunes had a balance of being exposed as well as loud and expressive.  A memorable part was where the first half of the last song was played on acoustic guitar and recorded on a loop which was then played back in the second half, layering it with electric guitar and different drums. They were technically constructed and the phrases had dynamic range. There were some talented funky improvisations. The songs have a balance of being organised while DIY and experimental. Their set was varied, each song was quite different. They had such control over their sound. They were extremely in-sync, carrying out well coordinated stops in their songs. They could completely fill the room and created such a full sound out from 2 musicians.
